Greetings all,

I will be heading off to Belegium and France for a week and a half starting this coming
Thursday (25 March). I hope to stop in and spend an afternoon with Serge Tcherepnin on my
travels. I have been thinking about all that he has contributed to the music world and the small
and large ways that his instruments have made a difference in our lives. If anyone would like to
write any personal letters of thanks or anecdotes about the impact of his work in their lives, I
would love to print these out and deliver them to him. Something about doing this in person seems
especially appropriate. Please write to me offlist with any letters or messages you would like to
see passed on.

Serge appeared in my life when I was 19. There are so many things I can say about what I
gained from our interactions, the bottom line is that I have much appreciation for him, as a
musical instrument designer, as a friend, as a human being. If there are any others out there who
have felt his influence in their lives, this would be an appropriate time to express that. Sure
beats waiting until it's too late!
