Serge once told me that he was a child prodigy on the violin. As a young teenager (13 or 14)
he was performing violin concertos with known orchestras. Of course it helps to have a famous
conductor and composer for a father...

Then he just walked away from it all one day. He said he wasn't interested in going down
that path.

I'd like to hear more about this concert where he played violin with Barry Schrader.

I'll ask Barry to elaborate and I'll pass it along. I do know it was
improvisational in nature.
