Take the knobs off first, then use a mild non-abrasive household
cleaner & wipe up carefully. Be careful about knob orientations when
putting them back on.

If the dust is loose and not stuck on try compressed air or can of
compressed CO2 or whatever it is. Yes, I clean my banana jacks out
once in a while with a Q-tip, just be careful about stray fuzz coming off.

well i have just finished cleaning my new second-hand serge, and its
amazing how much better it looks :-) ( I have yet to plug it in and play
it.....

I have found 3 loose banana plugs, can i just open the serge up and
tighten it, or just rotate the banana plug from the faceplate?

I am now going to plug in and be blissed :-)

banana jacks are tightened with nuts on the other side. It's better to
open it up and tighten them. Rotating them puts a twist on the wire &
might break the wire.

be careful when putting the panel back together, watch for wires caught
in mounting hardware.

So, years back, wanting to clean my Serge(loaning it
to Richard Devine so at least IT could feel useful.)
White corrosion like powder on the bananas. Squirted a
shot of cramolin in each jack, which did clean things
up nicely.
Then drove the Serge across stupid hot summer Atlanta
traffic.
By the time I made it Richard, the cramolin had
apparently seeped, intereacted with the heat, bubbling
much of the laquer finish over the paper graphics.

Hi John

So to open it up i just unscrew the dials remove them and then unscrew
the phillips head?

I am now enjoying just listening to 2 sine waves beating :-)
