ADSR

2006-05-06 by amnesia

Hi all

Well i have been on my serge for about 8 hours now and love it, it
reminds me soundwise of the EMSVCS3,Korg MS20 and ARP 2600 and much
more :-)

One thing I cant understand at the moment is how to do non drone (long
sounds) I dont have any Extended ADSRs but I do have 2x Dual Universal
Slope Generators, 2x Dual Transient Generators. I have been told that
one of these works like an ADSR....can someone tell me a quick patch
example to see how this is so......

I have no idea as yet what the BOOLEAN LOGIC does, or the 4 STAGE
SEQUENCING PROGRAMMER or ACTIVE PROCESSOR....but I will get there.....

Any patch examples would be great

I have the BLUE FUN STATION plus SEQUENCER and 1979 PAPERPLATE TKB.

Cheers
Ross

    Hi,
Check out the Gold Book and the Serge Manual... Those are amazing resources and demystify a lot of the Serge's modules.

Rich Gold's book is a perfect learning resource! I have it here if anyone needs it:

The DSG and DTG make great ASR and AR Envelope Generators as well as LFOs, Subharmonic Generators, Envelope Followers, Pulse Dividers and *much* more! This kind of flexibility is what makes the Serge so special ^_^

For a quick rundown on what some of the modules do, feel free to check out my Serge Animal page:

    Very Best Regards, James
