footswitch trigger

footswitch trigger

What would it take to get a momentary footwitch to generate a trigger, as in advancing a
sequencer (SEQ or TKB) ?

Thanks

Maybe this new Moog MP-201 pedal is the answer. A little spendy perhaps, but according
to the specs, the footwitches can send +5v gates. Also a foot CV.

My interest in this is for (some) handsfree control of the Serge while playing guitar. For
example, I would like to setup various mixes via the SEQ4 or TKB, and advance thru them
by foot control.

Any observations or suggestions of alternatives will be appreciated

Thanks

I think that a momentary switch (hand or foot pedal variety) that supplies 5V from a 9V
battery will be fine.
So 9V battery, 7805 regulator, switch and box.
Maybe other refinements could be added but it should work that simple.

well, that would generate a "gate", held high while you close the switch (and for shure it
will need some kind of refinement, a cap to ground or something, someone will tell you,
very simple)

To produce a short "trigger" from that for each closing of the switch you could use Ken's
gate-to-trigger or something similar.
