picture.

Sam Ecoff recently mentioned the differences in a post on AH:

http://elists.resynthesize.com/analogue-heaven/2008/03/1894529/Re-speaking-of-knobs-looking-for-bananalogue-type-knobs-for-doepfer.html

I've also recently seen a webpage reviewing the differences, but I can't find
it now or quite remember where I saw it.

Re: knobs

2008-03-03 by Skot Wiedmann

the ones i got are definitely NOT the same. The
authentic davies have a deeper flute (the vertical
groove along the side of the knob) which give them a
nicer tactile feel. the small bear part is less
satisfying to the touch and a bit more slippery. in
other words, its not as easy to grip and turn
precisely. the material may contribute to this as
well. the color of the set screw is bright and shiny,
whereas the davies is black. you will also notice
that the size is slightly different side by side,
especially because of the different size flutes. good
luck.
