Cool! Is this your first Serge experience, too? Do you have a favorite patch already?
Share some .wav files, too, if you want ;c)

leaving town tonight after work, but Ill try to put some files up on
my site early next week. yes is my first Serge experience. I have
several other modulars, but this is..hmm very different so far from
what I am used to, I will eventually catch up but right now I am not
always sure of whats going on, but always getting some excellent
sounds out of it. and I only have half a pannel!

my favorite patch so far is the one that goes
PEWFWJOgopwergjpoerjgpiosfjpbovjBOOOOM BOOM.

I will take a picture of it too when I get back. I left it patched.

Haha, great!

IMO, that's part of the fun factor for me with the Serge stuff...
There are lots of monkeys in there and they can be difficult to catch!

Hey, Carlos!

You didn't think I'd forget, did you? ;) I'm dying to hear some of
your jams with the Creature.

In the interested of being equitable, here's my latest site iteration.
The titles are their birth-dates in year/month/day format -- you may
have heard a couple of these already but most of them you haven't.
I'm planning on adding about a dozen more over the weekend.

http://www.virb.com/cebec

Also, if anyone wants me to make a short .wav file of something you
specifically want to hear done on the Serge, I'd be happy to share.
Sharing is good!!

Really nice stuff there
Is this just the creature and Max?

Shame I am buying a Buchla system now so much amazing stuff out this
year already. AFG, new Plan B , Serge etc now all we need is for Wiard
to release more modules and I will have to dig a financial grave.

I must say and you will all know I LOVE MY SERGE :-) I will never sell
her. :-)

Re: the creature arrived yesterday.

I was about to clarify -- there's no Creature. It's all shop and custom panels from STS. Max is used sparingly and the Serge is definitely the dominant voice. Thanks!

Yeah, these are good times!

Hey Guys,

I've run into a few roadblocks and am working through some issues with my DAW (thank you Bill Gates...) but should have those Creature wav files sooner rather than later. Life has thrown a few health-related monkeywrenches in the works as well but things are good at the moment.

I have had a little more time with the Creature to "map out" some good demo patches and will see what I can do this weekend.

It looks like I may be snowed-in at this point as the cold white stuff has been dumping from the sky since noon here...I cant believe its almost April! 0_o

Best Regards, James

Re: the creature arrived yesterday.

Ok here is the first one. is a fairly wav file (32 mb) as I tried to
make it an mp3 and was not happy with the result.

www.carlosgiffoni.com/1.wav

this is just creature straight to recorder, no overdubs, no edits, and
I am just playing around with a patch changing things on a whim, no
planned structure. just an improvisation on my first try at a Serge.
play it loud.

Carlos.
