Hard Sync with TGO

Hard Sync with TGO

2009-03-18 by roelelec

Hi Smogger's,

For all you out there who haven't figured it out.
All the Osc. (NTO, PCO) have only soft sync, but you can produce
hard sync with you TGO. You have to do the following.

Yesterday I took the Reverse saw (top left out TGO) and patched it to the in 1 (X-fader). Then I patched a sine out (PCO) to the black sig. in (TGO top middle). And to sweep the sound I patched the sine of another PCO to the VC in of the first PCO.
I got devasting, very usuable hard sync. Haven't tried other waveforms and/or modulated waveforms yet.

Keep on patching.

Cheers,

Roel

Thanks for the patch! I don't yet have a TGO to try it out with, though!

hi,
Matthew, i guess it should be very similar if you use a DTG with the left cell patched to selfcycle...right? (assuming that you have a TG with audio input...)
or you can use a Slope Gen that has an audio input, anyway...

Hmm, yes, it seems you're right. I'll have to try it tonight!

Re: Hard Sync with TGO (correction)

2009-03-19 by roelelec

Hi all,

A slight correction on the described patch.
I did it of the top of my head and patched the sweep wrong.
In stead of patching the other PCO sine out to the VC F of the first PCO, it should be patched to the 1v/oct of the TGO.

Sorry for the slip.

Cheers,

Roel
