Re: [Simmons Drums] SDS3 ??

Patrice,
This sounds like a common problem. If you'd like to try cleaning it
yourself first get some contact cleaner from Caig Laboratories. They offer De-Oxit
in two formulations. D5, which is mostly naphtha (to remove wax, grease and
crap) and D100, which is full strength. Use sparingly with swabs or paper towel
or spray into gaps in potentiometers. If a good cleaning doesn't fix your
problem, seek professional help. Be sure they know what they're doing. I hate
when repairmen break your shit during a routine repair and then try to charge you
to fix it. But, an SDS-3 shouldn't be too complex afterall.
