Re: [Simmons Drums] sequence the SDS-V

Good to know, yet you confirm that with the MFB you have only 1 level of velocity + 1 accent right ?
I guess you connect it to the pad inputs ?

Hi Group,

Is there any such thing as an adequate sequencer for the SDS-V other than the MTM ?
Ideally one that you could record with from pads and that would record the triggers of course, but also velocity and that could be clocked externally.

I found this idea here:
Simmons SDSV with MFB SEQ-01
If you own a Simmons SDSV drumbrain and asking yourself what to do with some of the free module slots (if any), heres the idea how to fill it: Use a MFB SEQ-01 ...

but as far as I know the MFB SEQ-1 supplies only Accent (that is 2 levels of voltages) not all the voltage range between 0V & 1,5V (1,5V being the maximum voltage via the Pads inputs right ?)

I also heard about connecting each SDS module input to a separate output of a Roland TR-707 for example, but I believe the TR-707 has only accents too (I'll have to check on that), so no velocity.

So what nice solution did you guys find for this job ?
