AW: [Simmons Drums] bass drum pad noise

2017-10-31 by buchnerelectronics@...

If the noise is caused by the hollow body of the pad, fill it up with
either glasswool or stonewool. Take care not breathing the fibres in while
working with the material.. Afraid? There is another solution: Natural
wool, normally used for knitting.
This treatment has another positive aspect: Your bassplayer will not false
trigger your pad any more.

Hey guys, anybody have the issue with your bass drum pad sounding like a
giant wooden box. not thru the brain, but just the pad itself. I've changed
my bass drum beaters over to tennis balls, but the pad is still rally loud.
I'm afraid to fill the inside with expanding foam or something because I
don't want to damage the electronics or the value of the pad. any ideas I
can try. Thanks, Jon
