PROMS and SDS1

PROMS and SDS1

2010-01-23 by Robert D

Hi. Is there any interest in original Simmons PROMs? I have the following with original Simmons labels:

EP 60 Steel Drum
EP 91 Power Snare
EP 93 Glass Shatter
Hand Clap 1
Electronic Tom
Cabasa

In addition, I have 2 E-PROMs that were, if I remember correctly, blown from the original Simmons PROMs at the music store when I bought them:

EP 70 Trash Can
EP 88 Gun Shot

I also have 2 clear PROM cases with the Simmons logo on the front that I must have gotten when I purchased the PROMs back in the 80s.

These were purchased a long time ago for use in an SDS1, which I am also considering parting with. Is there a market for these? Or, more specifically, does anyone want to buy some PROMs and/or a working SDS1? :)

Hi ROBERT!

Will be cool if you or someone can rip them into binary images and spread over the world :)

I think Glass Shatter and Trash Can are rare ones..

But sure, some collectors may be interested in everything with original Simmons logo on it :)

How much would you be looking for for each one? There are a few there I might take off your hands at the right price...!

Name prices please, there seems to be interest on the list. I would buy
the entire setup if the price is to my liking. If not, I'll pass since I
have two SDS-1's and a whole box of original and odd proms...

Yes, I am interested in some, but it depends on the price. What do you like to have? Or trade?

Wow, there is a lot more interest than I expected. Everyone is asking for pricing for the EPROMs, which is a fair question but, I have no clue! I've been trying to research pricing but I can't find anything. Can you guys help me arrive at a reasonable price? What is a normal range for these if sold individually?

I was hoping for $120USD + actual shipping for the SDS1, stand, and power supply (new, not original). The battery cover is missing, but other than that it seems in good condition.

1-10 dollars each, if we're talking ebay and originals.

A bit on the steep side if you ask me. I payed 400 SEK (ca 60 USD) for
both my pads and a handful of eproms (some originals). I'd say 120 would
be OK for a pair without proms. AFAIK there are many europeans on the
list too - keep that in mind. :)

4 EPROMS have been sold. These remain (all original):

EP 60 Steel Drum
EP 91 Power Snare
Electronic Tom
Cabasa

I've decided to sell the remaining 4 and the SDS1 as a package for $140 + actual shipping. This comes with a new power supply and a stand, if desired. I'll consider reasonable offers as well.
