SDS-1 battery cover

SDS-1 battery cover

2010-01-24 by the_green_dome

Hi

One of my SDS-1s is missing its battery cover.

Am I right in thinking these things are like gold dust / hen's teeth? Or does anybody have a spare one they'd like to part with?

Thanks!

Aaron

Well, I bought my two pads very cheap from a friend and the pads were
battered, with broken potentiometers and all... But yes, they surface
without covers as often as with on the second hand market.

There are two possibilities:
Do it yourself (it is really not very difficult) or try some fuse - holder lids. I once had fuse holders with a lid that fits on the battery holder of SDS1s.

I'm bloody blind!

I was talking about the darn cover over the knobs. I do in fact have the
battery covers... I think. ;)

Once again, you are a genius. I'll give that a try. Thanks Michael!

Not blind. Just like me - easily confused!

I'm lucky, both my SDS1s came with the cover over the knobs. Although one keeps falling off each time I hit it! Dave Simmons always said that drummers like to hit his gear too hard!
