Hey Brice,
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm definitely going to dig into those
resources(links) when I have adequate time. It's nice to know that the
module comes with "example code," but I'm sure I'll want to get my hands in
it after I have the module for a while. I think that's the only way to get
the absolute fullest out of this "chameleon module!"
cheers,
John

John,
Don't worry. Learning the code isn't that difficult. Starting out, you can
simply download the ("module") code already available and load it into the
PSIM-1 and it will work just as it's supposed to. You *don't* have to know
any code to use the PSIM-1. Of course, I'm sure eventually, you'll want to
start writing your own applications (and sharing them with others) so the
easiest way to learn it is to simply dig into it.
Here's a link to the AtomPRO site:
http://www.basicmicro.com
The microcontroller (computer) the PSIM-1 uses is the AtomPRO-24M. Download
the documentation for the AtomPRO.
Basic AtomPRO Manual
http://www.basicmicro.com/downloads/docs/atompro.pdf
Also, study the code already available in the Files Section of the Group's
site.
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/SynthModules/
You can open the code in any text viewer or go ahead and download the
development software package from Basic Micro:
http://www.basicmicro.com/downloads/software/BMAtomPro.zip
Once you have a PSIM-1 module and the AtomPRO manual in your hands... it
will become pretty easy to start by looking at the code that is already
written and copying and pasting the routines into your own programs. Many
of the subroutines will be common among ALL the PSIM-1 programs. Study the
code and actually read the AtomPRO manual.
Best regards,
