Re: [SynthModules] New poll for SynthModules

2004-02-23 by Andrew Scheidler

That's my thinking... :)

Here's some of my "favorite abilities" list from various units:

Fat Controller:
Gate Length
Long sliders

System 700:
1/32 1/16 1/8 1/4 1/2 step length knob per step

Moog 921:
Skip buttons per step

Seq 303:
Pendulum mode (both odd & even)
Start/Stop points anywhere, so you can "trap" the current step pointer
between two points; kind of like the old Quix video game :)

Mobius:
Ability to save patterns
Ability to have multiple adjacent patterns play sequentially

MAM SQ16:
Chain mode- plays any/all "lit" patterns sequentially

That's a few from the ones I'm familiar with...

(I'm sure Brice is cringing by now!)

OMG! If Brice wants to let out what he's looking at doing, and if this
happens to be a step sequencer, then... There's gonna be a FLOOD of
email
from me!

I have a decent arsenal of step sequencers, but none that are CV modules

(hence my having 10 channels of MIDI->CV available) and each one is
lacking
something that I'd like to see.

C'mon Dood! Open the flood gates!

:)
