SynthModules PSIM-1 Update

2004-03-25 by Brice D. Hornback

Hello everyone. For those of you who have already ordered a PSIM-1... I ran
into a bit of a snag. Since returning from AHMW 2004, I've been busy
working on PSIM-1 modules as best I can. I ran out of 1/8" jacks because
the mounting hardware that Mouser sent wasn't machined correctly from the
factory. They are sending replacements... but it'll be a few more days
before I can resume assembling modules. I could keep working around the
clock populating PCB's... but I have decided to take a couple days off to
get my head screwed on straight again. The last two weeks have been a bit
of a blur and then approximately 72 hours without sleep leading up to AHMW
2004 really took its toll on me.

* I would like to publicly thank Todd Faulkner who rode with me to AHMW
2004. Had he not been with me... I probably would have ended up spending
Saturday night sleeping in my car in a ditch some where along I-69. Shortly
after starting the drive home... Todd took over driving and the next thing I
remember was backing into my driveway. Todd... thank you. *

So... in summary... I'm taking a couple days off while waiting on the
replacement parts from Mouser. If anyone still wants to order a PSIM-1... I
still have a few (maybe four or five) complete modules and I think three
"Partial" modules available. That's it folks. Remember, I'll be building
and shipping in the order in which the orders are received. It might take
me a few weeks to get them all built and shipped... but I'll get them done.

Also, once you're already ordered your SynthModules PSIM-1... don't forget
to get a Wiard Noise Ring, a couple Wiard Joystick Controllers, and a Wiard
Joystick Axis Generator. Need power and a place to mount all these new
modules? Drop by Blacet's site and get a rack cage, a PS500 power supply,
and some other modules too while you're there. You all know the links.

Finally... you've heard about the new SpeakJet chip... and maybe even heard
samples of it on my site or at AHMW 2004. Click on the link below to find
out more information.

Take care...
