My own experience is that I'm really gung-ho about "populating" the
PCB, but the panel and wiring portion will take *years* to do.

If I got stuck producing a large batch of something, I'd probably
resort to heavy-duty measures like using the pre-assembled wiring
harnesses that can be ordered from Digi-Key, say. It's the only
way I'd stay sane.
