Ok, it's been an interesting day here at SynthModules Center (Brice: you meant hell right? Me: yeah, probably). We found a tray with 6 boards that were not soldered where we thought we had them all done, and some boards that had been mated to faceplates without grounds soldered on them. We spent a good deal of time getting the boards finished, all the faceplates ready to mate to the boards, and the finished boards from last week tested. The general status of the components follows: boards: all are now soldered (really we even mean it this time, but don't hold us to it) face plates: all the grounds are now soldered and they are ready to be mated to the boards led panels: these were finished last week, nothing new to report here **** The Gary Chang Update **** Gary, Someone, and I'm not mentioning names misplaced one of the standoffs to your board. He spent every lunch break last week hunting down the correct standoffs at the various Radio Cracks, and Fried Electronics. This weekend he mated your board to the face plate, and constructed the custom LED ribbon cable which is significantly different for your board than for the others. (thought you were special didn't you?) **** So, here's what remains (or the part you're all interested in). With all the components completed all that is left is to mate the face plates to the boards and wire them up, test them, box them and ship them. We tested 4 modules, 3 of which passed, and one of which developed a bad 1/8" jack during testing. Brice plans to get the faulty jack replaced during the week and these modules should ship to the next people expected to receive them. I will note for clarity that these are the modules I mentioned last week as completed, however the testing takes about 40 minutes per completed module and Brice simply did not have time during the week. The next four people receiving boards should be hearing from Brice sometime this week that their board has in fact shipped. Anyway that's all from SynthModules Hell this week, next week is the Indianapolis 500 (and the city will come to a halt), so stay tuned for two weeks from now, when, in an exciting turn of events I will manage to get myself electrocuted. -- Andrew D Kirch | Abusive Hosts Blocking List | www.ahbl.org Security Admin | Summit Open Source Development Group | www.sosdg.org Key At http://www.2mbit.com/~trelane/trelane.key Key fingerprint = B4C2 8083 648B 37A2 4CCE 61D3 16D6 995D 026F 20CF
