A module that could be an add-on, but wouldn't have to be would be a
simple variable voltage source.

Something like four pots with output jacks that range from 0-10 volts,
maybe have one switchable to -5/+5. Maybe a button and jack for a gate
output.

I don't know how the add-ons will fit in, so maybe there's better ways.
A batch of knobs of some sort would be real handy, so as to alter
parameters in real time, like envelope attack, decay, etc.

I use the +10 and -10 volt outputs on my 2600 all the time, and that's a
bit of a hassle since they run thru the inverters by default...

If you got the email from PayPal confirming your order... you're
fine. I'll also send out an email to everyone who has already
ordered one later today. It'll take me some time to get all that
together so please be patient.

If anyone is wanting a PSIM-1 but still has questions or ??? please
ask. There are only a few openings left for this batch and it will
be a while before I take orders for them again. Once this batch of
PSIM-1 modules is completed, I want to take some time to complete a
couple of the add-on modules such as the MIDI interface which
includes MIDI IN (MIDI to CV), MIDI OUT (CV to MIDI, Clock, etc), &
DIN Sync), plus another module that I've been working on that will
add that missing "user interface" tweakability. I'm sure by now
you've all listened to my Noise Ring playing my MIDI Drum Machine.
CV to MIDI is incredible!

Anyway... if you're waiting to order a PSIM-1 for one reason or
another... you might just miss out completely on this one.

Thanks for all the orders so far.

Best regards,

Just curious, Andrew: how do you use these? I know Tony at Oakley is
doing one of these (the Control-X). Do you use it purely to offset
envelopes and the like?

Hi,

I don't know what Andrew uses these for but a simple module like he
describes would be a great complement to the PSIM-1 because you could
use it as a pot (knob) interface. It would add knobs (to be interrpreted by
your custom software) to the PSIM-1.
