I think the term should be Simmians.

Anyway 5 minutes seems to be a bit long.

I'm doing the programming on a 333MHz PII with the port speed
at 115K, and I don't think it has ever taken more than about a minute (maybe
2 at the outside).

Time to write to PSIM

2004-04-03 by Andrew Scheidler

Hey fellow Simmers -

How long does it take for your computer/PSIM to finish doing the
"PROGRAM" button funtion where it writes to the PSIM. I've got my port
at 115k and it can take more than 5 minutes sometimes (with a PII CPU &
64mb).

Is that typical? Or is there something out of whack with my setup?

Andrew,

Send me a copy of the code you're trying (or if it's one of the programs
online... let me know which one). I'll try it on my setup and time it.
I'll also check to see if anything is in the code that could be causing
compiling time issues. Also, what operating system are you running? CPU
speed?

Hello Brice,

Just got back in town and saw the PSIM is sold out. Please let me know
if someone flakes.
