Hello,

This email message is a notification to let you know that
a file has been uploaded to the Files area of the SynthModules
group.

  File : /PSIM-1 MP3 Samples/20040131a-sahseq-001.mp3
  Uploaded by : synthmodules <synthmodules@synthmodules.com>
Description : Based on the Chromatic Quantized Sample & Hold / 256-step Sequencer code. *Not the most musical sample.* But, Chaos and Random... here you go. Source for samples was Blacet Dark Star Chaos Noise Filter Out into PSIM-1 as "Recording S&H Sequencer". This is a recording of the playback of the sequence and *not* simply recorded S&H. Also in there is the Blacet Final Filter also gated by the PSIM-1 AUX OUT which about half way through I start tweaking knobs. Delay provided by Ibanez AD202.

PSIM-1 Update / Uploads

2004-01-31 by Brice D. Hornback

Hello everyone. Okay... now that we've uploaded a bunch of code and sample
MP3's... how about some comments, suggestions, questions, etc.? It's been
pretty quiet here lately.

You can view the code in a text viewer or download the actual programming
software from Basic Micro's Web site:
http://www.basicmicro.com/downloads/software/BMAtomPro.zip

You'll need a Windows based PC to run this. Obviously, you won't be able to
actually run the code without a PSIM-1... but that'll come soon. The second
batch of three "pre-production" modules are scheduled to ship on or before
February 16th. I hope to be taking "Production" orders by this time. You
*must* be on the waiting list to get one at this point. If you're not on
the list yet, send me an email OFF LIST and I'll get you in line.

So, what does everyone think so far? You've got actual photos, code,
MP3's... how about some discussion?

Best regards,

Brice D. Hornback

Re: PSIM-1 Update / Uploads

Hi Brice -

I haven't been this excited about a peice of gear since I was waitng
on my Kyma. The possibilies are very interesting, limited only by
my own (and the collective's!) imagination. Already the samples
posted have pushed mine into overdrive. Have I mentioned that I
CAN'T WAIT TO GET MINE?

I suppose this is not a module for everyone, at least in its current
form. With an addon to store and download programs, the PSIM could
indeed be a 'must-have' for any modular. That could even spawn a
market for 3rd party programs!

One thing to note: I have been unable to downlaod all the MP3s -
some of them return an 'Unathorized to view this page' error.
Perhaps you could put all the MP#s up on your website? I'm
particularly interested in the last one with drum machine.

Thanks!

Mike

PSIM-1 Update

2004-02-02 by Brice D. Hornback

Hello everyone. The REV1.0b boards arrived today. They are awesome! All
the parts (except the panels) are here so the three of you getting them (you
know who you are) won't have much longer to wait. If all goes well... and
it should... I'll be accepting "production" orders VERY soon. Maybe as
early as the end of this week. Absolutely no later than next week.

You are on the waiting list aren't you??? I'll be going down the list
offering them in the order I received the email requests. Remember, these
will be done in small batches and if you're not on the list... I can't
guarantee you'll get one at least anytime soon.

Take care,
Brice
