Please know that this is not entirely directed at you, but to all out there who sell things and put the onus of the Paypal fees on the buyer. First off, sellers who take CCs have long since discontinued this practice of chargeback. In the case of private seller, why leave the step of this to the buyer? It's not only one more step in discouraging them, but you should certainly know what the fee is if you are using Paypal. Why not add sales tax too? Just in case you get audited? Yes, I am stretching it, but you might as well say $290 and be done with it. Shipping may be different of course, but again, this wasn't mentioned.
And yes, I am a little peeved after recently getting clipped from an unnamed UK firm who not only charged Paypal fees, but threw in 15 BPs for shipping on a 2BP envelope. The reason? They had to go to the PO because in Britain they don't pickup at a home address, apparently. Does anyone think that Amazon actually gives you free shipping? Nobody is that nice.
<End diatribe/>
