We're working killer hours over here makin' Zeroscillators for everybody. We shipped several of them today, while we were making large batches of ZO front panels assemblies in various flavors (now making Blacets), and a lot of our other older back ordered modules are getting shipped everyday as well. The shop is a hopping! In the meantime we are finding that the Euro Zeroscillators may fit better into Analogue Systems Eurocard cages than the Doepfer ones. Euro Zo Observations There is a vertical power distribution PC board running horizontally across the back of a Doepfer cabinet that we encountered. It blocked the Euro format Zeroscillator so as it is now, the ZO is about half an inch too deep. We are working on a solution that is to supply a right angle adapter PC board that simply snaps into any Euro Zeroscillator and raises our set of circuit boards high enough to clear the power strip in the Doepfer Cabinets. Anyone will be able to install this adapter board in five-minutes with only a screwdriver. Because of this, at the present time we are recommending the Analogue Systems rack cabinets as the best choice for mounting Zeroscillators. The power cable situation is another area that we are trying to focus on at the moment. We've been supplying the Euro Zeroscillators with 10-pin Doepfer style power cables about a foot long. Ideally we would also like to supply a "Flippy" "10-pin Doepfer-to-16-pin DIP-Analogue Systems power connector adapter pigtail" so customers can choose to plug their Euro Zeroscillators into either brand of cabinet with ~either~ type of power connector. I don't know where to order these types of adapter cables and welcome suggestions if anyone would like to contact me directly (cynthia.webster@gte.net) In the meantime we're working out these little details, need to order the right little mounting screws, etc. DotCom Zo Observations There is also a clearance issue on the portable versions of the Synthesizers.com cabinets where again, the mighty ZOis only fractions of an inch - too deep to fit. Here we will also supply a small right angle adapter board to create the proper clearance, (portable cabinets only) the standard walnut Synthesizers.com cabinets are no problem. These little issues have really had us on our toes and we're making the proper adjustments and doing the artwork for the adapter cards now. Most people will not need any sort of adapter boards at all, so this is yet another thing on the endless to do list!
