Hi, Ive never used a analog VCO before I would like some more info please ,I have a virus synth module i trigger the sounds from that yousing a midi keyboard ,does the Zerooscillator work in the same way, or do you need to connect it to a analog keyboard ,in other words does it have built in sounds or is it a sound altering device ,or is it a stand alone unit and if so how do you youse it in that way ? thanks .

It is a oscillator synth module used in modular synth systems.
Unless you have a VCA, it will keep sending out a signal as long as it's powered up.
Unless you have a midi to CV converter, your midi keyboard will do nothing to the ZO.
Unless you have another oscillator, you will not hear any "FM synthesis" and it will be little more than an oscillator with quadrature outputs (4 outputs, each 90 degrees off in phase).
Unless you have a correct modular power supply, it will not even plug into the wall or use batteries.

I highly recommend reading up on modular synths, and you should get an idea how to use a ZO in your own music.

Cyndustries also makes the Zeroscillator in standard 19" standalone
versions! Either a single in 1U or a dual in 2U. I assume they have
internal power supplies but I don't know anything else about them.
