Zeroscillator slightly too large for Blacet Frac-Rack

Zeroscillator slightly too large for Blacet Frac-Rack

2007-04-25 by brokensparrowrecords

I just received my shiny new frac-rack Zeroscillator (Thank You Cynthia!) however I'm having
some trouble fitting it into my Blacet frac-rack. The circuit boards that are parallel to the
faceplate are just slightly too large to fit between the upper and lower rack rails. I have two
other Blacet racks and I've tried the module in each of those just to see if it's a problem with
the rack dimensions, but they are all the same size-the module doesn't fit into any of them.
I've tried angling it into the rack a few different ways but it still won't slot in. Apparently they
fit fine in Paia racks, but I have plenty of space in my current Blacet racks and I'd rather not
shell out another $60 if I don't have to...anyone else have any experience/solutions for this
issue? Thanks in advance for your advice-

i had the same problem, the zo didn't fit in any of my frames.
so i cutted and bent one bottom rail to fit to the zo.

Has anybody NOT had a problem getting a ZO frac rac version to to fit properly into the
rack? In other words, is this a universal problem with the frac rac version of the ZO. I'm on
the verge of ordering one from Analog Haven but these revelations are a source of
concern. I'm not so keen to file and bend and cut up my racks after spending a thousand
bucks. It sure sounds like a great module though and I don't want to miss the opportunity
to pick one up.

Apparently if you remove the other modules from the
Blacet frame and then bend the bars a bit like Hercules,
then you should be able to get it to fit?

I guess that I will have to grind a little bit more off of the
bottom of the circuit boards than I have been doing in the past,
in the meantime... the Paia Frack Rack Frames will fit and they
certainly do not cost very much.

Best Wishes!
