Hi Mike,

Once again, thanks for the great review!

Here's a little help. I was wondering why the sounds you posted were
not showing off the dynamic FM capabilities of the ZO. Your latest
post revealed the reason why:

====================================================
* I can't get the INDEX CV to actually do anything unless I connect
the EG to the DYNAMIC 1 input, then connect the MOD OUT to the INDEX
CV input. In other words, unless there's feedback the EG's CV does
not seem to affect the timbre even with the pot turned fully clockwise.
====================================================

It seems you have things patched backwards. Your envelope should be
patched into the INDEX CV input. The knob above it is an attenuator
for that signal which lets you adjust the modulation index or depth.
Patch your modulation signal (audio sine wave or whatever) into one of
the DYNAMIC inputs. I think a whole new world awaits. Now I'm
looking forward to some NEW sounds from you!

I hope this helps you and anyone else that also might have been
confused by this. Maybe an update to the manual is in order. The
Zeroscillator is new to all of us and with its myriad capabilities,
we're all on the same voyage of discovery.

Big thanks to Mike and all the early adopters,

Hi Mark -

Well, that's just it, I don't get any variation when I patch it as you
just described. I'm off to try again just to make sure, but I think
there may be something not quite right...I'll let you know later this
evening.

Yeah, there was something wrong all right, but I'll need brain surgery
to correct it. It was totally my fault, as Mark suspected, I was
patching things wrong. I *thought* I was patching it the way he
described, but, um, I guess not.

The thing sounds EVEN BETTER when patched correctly :) I'll post a few
more demos soon...

Sorry Mark!  Sorry Cynthia!
