I'm a man on a mission. Or so I was told in my local Tesco (it's a UK
supermarket chain) as I bought a new Dyson yesterday. It must have
been my look of steely determination. :-)
Well, it's true. I have set aside my reservations about mySpace
(don't get me started!) and I have been doing the social networking
thing like a man possessed these last few days as another aspect of
my drive to get a theremin get-together going here in the UK.
I've found over 200 UK bands and soloists that use a theremin to some
extent or other, and so far about half are on my friends list.
But it's had a rather alarming side-effect. Judging by the comments
and emails, they seem to think I'm quite good.
OK, you can stop laughing now. Clearly these people are in need of
education!
So, as well as UK bands, I've been making friends with proper
thereminists, namely those on the Spellbound playlist, and making
them my top friends, so if someone clicks on any of my friends listed
on the front page they are going to hear some quality theremin. I've
got eight top friends so far, but I want more!
I have a request to make. If you're on myspace and on David's
playlist, please check your myspace account. If there's a friend
request from Beat Frequency, please accept it. If there isn't, please
don't feel slighted - after three solid hours of ploughing through
search engine results I was feeling a little light headed to say the
least and may have missed you. Click on the link in my sig - below -
and make me your friend. Pretty please.
Thank you!
(Oh, David V, I'm glad you had a good time on your vacation, please
check your spellbound account - there's a friend request waiting for
you, and a space reserved for the show at the top of my top friends!)
