david is right, but putting it far simpler terms, the
monopolies want to edge out any competition and this
will effectively mean that the choices on the net will
be restricted to the choiced that big media choose to
force upon us.

now cable distributors have to pay the content
providers. the new model will be that the content
providers will pay the distributors. if you want to
make your material available to a web audience you
will have to pay or work for one of the monopoly media
groups.

if you like american idol, top forty and mtv, you
won't mind at all. 
google video is already flooded with pay to play music
videos owned by the major corporations and they figure
than if all the free stuff goes away then we will have
to pay for their crap instead.

imagine clear channel dictating what goes on the web.

just don't expect o hear or see any theremins on the
web.

are there any honest politicians in congress? time to
see if your senator deserves your vote, both parties
are in the pockets of the corporations and the rich.
