The Purple Note Radio Network is pleased to announce, after numerous 
delays, the (hopefully) long-awaited Best of 2008 Special Edition of 
Spellbound, a brief program of music for theremin.  Host David Vesel 
will introduce his picks for the best theremin performances of 2008 as 
reflected in music submitted for the program.  Awards in the genres of 
Classical, Neo-Classical, Jazz, Electronica, Rock, Ambient, and 
Avantgarde will be announced.

Spellbound, a brief program of music for theremin, uses this special 
episode to kick off its 5th season on the air.  Since February 2005, 
Spellbound has been the world's only regularly scheduled music program 
dedicated to the celebration and examination of the theremin.  Host 
David Vesel has amassed a collection of over 125 compact discs featuring 
theremin music, plus many vinyl records and a playlist of over 1000 
performances cleared for airplay.  Spellbound is produced by the Purple 
Note Radio Network and is aired live through its flagship station,
