Searching for new theremin music and new thereminists

2011-10-24 by David V

Hello all,

Do you have new theremin recordings? Are you a thereminist and we have
not previously been in contact? I'm always searching for new theremin
performances, but lately my searching has been coming up a bit short.
So I'm asking for your help. If you have theremin music that I don't,
please send me a message and/or introduce yourself!

/Spellbound, a brief program of music for theremin/, is presently in its
sixth season on the air, one of the launch programs of Cygnus Radio.
Presently, over a hundred thereminists, ondists, and performers on
related instruments have graced approximately 300 episodes since
February of 2005. Most of the world's leading thereminists have granted
permission to feature their music on the program, but we aren't limited
to professionals. Amateur thereminists make up the vast majority of the
playlist of /Spellbound /(so don't assume you're not good enough!).

Before I use your music on the program, I'll ask you to complete an
on-line form. It's not a bad thing, it just makes sure I have your
permission to use your music. If you've recorded a cover, don't worry.
The program is licensed with BMI, which covers about half of all
compositions in the US and collects royalties on behalf of many foreign
songwriting organizations. (If you're a composer with ASCAP, you'll
need to waive your PRO rights to permit me to play your stuff.)

If you already have a relationship with me, please just point me at
whatever albums you may have for sale, so that I may add to my
collection of theremin recordings. I don't require free copies of CDs
to play your music.

Thanks for your attention!

Hi David
Not sure if you've seen these before?
http://soundcloud.com/nachtsmeer/jurassic-soup
http://soundcloud.com/nachtsmeer/gurgletrump
http://soundcloud.com/nachtsmeer/ste-041-plinkiiplonka

All devices are theremin controlled. All played live, no overdubs.
All other traxx @ http://soundcloud.com/nachtsmeer/ use synthis without
theremin (both live and studio productions).

Cheers
Paul
