Spellbound's call for holiday music

2007-12-12 by David V

Good morning everyone,

This year's Holiday Special episode of "Spellbound, a brief program of
music for theremin", will air on Sunday, December 16, with an encore
performance on December 23.

I wish to invite thereminists of all skill levels to submit holiday
recordings for this year's Holiday Special. Thanks to my newly minted
ASCAP and BMI licenses, I can now take copyrighted holiday songs, not
just traditional hymns and carols (although I may balk at any versions
of "Santa Baby" :-) so that should really throw open the possibilities
this year!

You may submit your recordings right up until showtime at 10 PM Eastern
US time on December 16. (Heck, this year Kevin Kissinger submitted his
Halloween song *during* the Halloween Special, so I'm flexible! :-)

Please do NOT e-mail your songs to this address. Please e-mail your
audio files to davidvesel@... or porphyrous@..., since those
boxes are big enough to receive very large files. Music files should be
at least 96kbps and use a 44.1kHz sample rate.

If you have not previously submitted music to "Spellbound" before,
please also complete the on-line music clearance form at
http://spellbound.purplenote.com/clearance.html.

Thanks for your time, and I hope to see a bunch of new music this year!

Sincerely yours,
David V
