R. A. Moog Troubador theremin for sale
2009-02-28 by Michael Evans
Hello fellow thereminists that I know and those that I do not know, Please pardon my intrusion. I have compiled a list of your addresses from the various forums such as Theremin World, Aetherphon, etc.(of which I have been a quiet member each of) and from my personal experiences. I am excited to inform you all FIRST! that I am presently selling my R. A. Moog Troubador theremin for $5,000 before I put it up on Ebay in approx. a week or two... It is in excellent working condition(it was just recently repaired and callibrated!) and pictures of it are included here in this email. Please note that in the third photograph, the characteristic "metal plate" for volume increasing and decreasing is located on the left side of the instrument box. This same feature is also present on Moog's Melodia instrument, which was also made in the early 1960's. The high cost of this rare instrument is due to its being a one of a kind, hand made(by Mr. Robt. Moog himself!) item that was created back in the 1960's. Please feel free to get in contact with me here through this email address, if any of you have questions concerning this instrument or are interested in purchasing it from me. Best, Michael Evans PS: for your enjoyment, here is an old ad for the Troubador from the early 60's. The Troubador A professional adaptation of the Melodia, the Troubador has a 115 volt AC power supply instead of a battery, special shielding so the instrument may be placed on any table or microphone stand to be played, improved tuning adjustments, and a continuously adjustable timbre control. 1960 Price: $160.0 0 [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
