Here is one I found via Google - but this one is expensive http://www.vstservice.com/p-585-akai-backlight-inverter-block-lcd-for-mpc3000-others.aspx As I read in a Forum the Akai inverter converts from +5V. So inverters from 5V to 300VAC should work. There are also electronic inverters that should be more silent: http://www.backlight4you.com/product_info.php/info/p915_3-Volt-Inverter-for-EL-Panels-up-to-60cm2-area.html or the classic design: http://www.backlight4you.com/index.php/language/en/cat/c128_classic.html Ciao Peter From: akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com [mailto:akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Mike Schaffer Sent: Monday, February 14, 2011 10:33 AM To: akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com Subject: RE: [akaiS1000S1100Samplers] Re: S1000 Display Issue Can anyone recommend a part number to use as a replacement inverter? My S1000 is emitting a high-pitched whine sound, and the consensus on the boards seems to be that it's an inverter issue.
