With the OS your best move is to have the OS on EPROMs installed in your unit, I have these as well. By doing this you never have to boot with a disc of any kind, and you can save the OS to Zip when you SCSI format the ZIP disc.

Remember there are no boot up issues when removing the IDE floppy if you use the EPROMS. All you do when you boot is point the S1000 to the Zip drive.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
