Concerning the backlight:

I replaced the backlight on my S1100 with this:

There is already a current wire attached to the board. I shove it between the "glass" and the old backlight (I did not reove the one). disconnect the old current wire and connect the new one. that's it.

Concerning the memory.

The real challenge is finding the memory boards for a fair price.
