For the same price I'd get the CF card reader.Scsi is a lot faster.

i haven't gotek. myself, what I do know is that they work. with the
akai mpc60, but not with the ensoniq mirage.

the gotek floppy emulator won't work in anything that doesen't use a
regular PC floppy drive, configured like a regular floppy drive, and
controled like a regular floppy drive.

as far as I can tell the S1000 has a regular floppy drive, but I
don't know how its configured, or how different the akai floppy format
is from regular msdos.

I'd say there is a good chance It'LL work, but you'd have to try it to be sure.

there is a Guy out there who wrote an alternative firmware for the
gotek floppy emulator that makes it work with Amiga. if a regular
gotek dosen't work, you could try that too.

I'd. prefer a SCSI based solution. like scsi2sd but on a s1000
without a SCSI card, the gotek would be the best option.

somebody should try it and tell us how it goes!
