Kimmo, Welcome to the group. Also, welcome to the group of people with floppy problems. Both he floppies and the floppy drives become unreliable over time. I cannot recommend changing the floppy drive because it is not easy to find the right one. An easier solution is using an external scsi hard disk or a Magneto Optical drive. Just make sure you buy not a crappy one. This way your samples will load much faster and you can use it with different S1100 samplers as long as they have a working scsi port (which can be a pain). Please browse through the messages archive to find more info. I think we're all eager to find out more about your project. Just send us a message with a link to your project. If you have tips and tricks for using the S1100 with a controller, let us know.
