using a midi controller with akai

2005-03-28 by moody_modig

hi again,

Thank you, Frank, for a rapid and kind answer. i'll go thru the
archives of the group in the near future.

The floppy disk system aren't that great. i was performing a couple
of days ago, i had an S1100 and my partned had an SU 700 and
turntables. we improvised for 50 minutes, going from mellow, ambient
stuff to (mostly...) straightforward beat-driven jamming. think of
atari teenage riot or dj shadow with amphetamines.
good gig, improvising and playing live with S1100 is quite a thrill.
my problem is, i haven't been able to found a decent midi implement
chart to S1100. maybe there's one in the vaults of this group, have
to check that.

i use the midi keyboard to strike a sound, control pannings and
volume and to change programs. i would like to know if it's possible
to program S1100 LFO's, invidual sample's(that's in a keygroup)
attack etc. values behind midi faders.

regards,

Kimmo Modig
who will try and record some stuff with S1100 so you can hear what
i'm doing it and how i shamelessly molest the poor thing...
