Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi everyone. I'm new to the group. My name is Chip and I'm a 
drummer/beatmaker from NYC. I purchased my S1000 about 5 months ago
and 
just recently got around to playing with it. It's a very simple 
machine, but I wanted to know how people have gone about getting 
samples on their PC to the sampler. I have gotten AkaiDisk to work
with 
floppies but it's a long and boring process. Is there a way I can 
transfer .WAV or 'Chicken System's Translator formatted AKAI samples' 
to a zip drive that can then be read by the s1000? If not, how are 
people getting samples from PC to sampler without sampling? I just have 
a lot of .WAV files I want to get on to the sampler without recording 
the audio. Thanks a lot in advance, and
