I don not know much about SCSI, but I know there are two types of connectors. I do not know their names, but the akai s1100 needs a 50-pin type SCSI. If so, you probably need a cable with two different connectors, the zipdrive will probably be the more regularly 25-pin type (like D-sub). Look for secondhand, many people throw away their SCSI stuff, good luck, guido.
