I'm still having problems with my S1000 reading from the CD-ROM drive. If possible can you walk me through all of the soft key steps to prompting the S1000 to load from the CD-ROM. I have an inertia productions disk of Classic Synth sounds but I still cannot get it to load. When I attempt any disk functions besides loading from the floppy drive it just reads : "Hard Disk Not Ready" I don't know whether I still have the IDs set wrong or SCSI card doesn't work but I have a properly formatted CD to test it with now. I'd like you to advise me before I open up the unit and start messing with the SCSI card. I don't have any SCSI terminators or an old Mac with a SCSI card to check the CD-ROM. All things indicate that the CD-ROM is functional. It powers up loads the CD and the light goes green. The problem is getting the S1000 to communicate with it. The guy I bought the S1000 from insisted that it worked fine with CD-Rom loading thru SCSI. If you could help me step by step that would be great, I'm hating my S1000 right now.
