Nick, Can't you ask help from a computer techie in your neigborhood? But it's quit easy: at the back of the S1000 you find some screws. Open the upper lid of the case. Now you need to remove the front panel. You find the screws which keep the front panel in place at the top and the bottom of the front panel. The floppy is screwed on a L shaped plate. You can remove that plate when you have removed the front of your S1000. Placing the jumpes is straight forward as long as you have enough jumers (those small plastic things with a piece of copper inside). Somewhere at the back of the floppy drive you find a row of copper pins. depending on the floppy make, every row has a label (like: D0/D1, DC/RY,...). All instructions for placing the jumpers are on the website you mentioned. I've read the article at http://akaiscsifaq.digidude.net/akaifaq_floppy.htm and i've located the position of the D0/D1 and DC/RY switches on my PC floppy drive, but I'm not very technologically minded and don't know how to physically switch them, and whether or not this will actually work when i put it back into the sampler. > any guidance whatsoever would be hugely appreciated > > cheers > nick > > > > --------------------------------- > Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!
