I think the most important question to ask yourself is what type of sounds you
want to sample. If you are sampling to get a gritty,cruncy 12bit sound then the
S950
will probably work well. Of course you will need to do some sample conversion
to 
utilize your current library. The S1000 and above will give you a cleaner 16bit
sound. The best recommendation is the S1100 and above. Any of them will allow
you to do a SCSI Sample Transfer which is faster than the 4 bit midi. If you
have a program like CDXtract you can convert the K2000 sounds to wav and then 
do a SCSI transfer using programs like SoundForge and Wav AKAI.
