The trouble is normally that your PC is too new. I tried 4 computers and got a result in a W95 equipped laptop which once rebooted in DOS would create the disk required. The disk is a 1.44 floppy which you shouldn't bother to format as I recall, just run the exe file you downloaded by copying onto the C: drive in the antique PC. Windows 98SE didn't work for me, or anything newer. Top tip: Once you get it working, make 2 or three copies while you're there, and put one in with your passport or birth certificate, as once you get the new features you won't want to go back. I have a couple of spares, I'm in London W10 if that would help., Computer Hell is character building though. --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "ramseygower" <ramseygower@...> wrote: > > Please help me. > I'm trying to update the OS on my Akai S1100 but seems impossible.
