Howerver, in order for it to fit, I'd have to hang the S1000 >with the front facing the ceiling. > >Is there any issue with this as far as functionality? function-wise its fine, though heat rises so the front might get hotter than intended. at least mounting it horizontally lets the heat rise in to the case. dust is evil too!! years ago i got my brother to make me a 3x4u rack to sit over my master keyboard so i didn't take up too much space in my room <http://alaskahighway.com/studio/pd6.mov> you will probably need apple's quicktime to see this. rotate left & right to see the rest of the setup. the pd6 workstation worked very well as it didnt take up much space front-to-back and allowed me to add stuff to the top surface. the lastest studio, 5000 miles away from pd6, looks like this <http://www.alaskahighway.com/studio/> the alternative is to buy an ultimate support amp stand <http://www.ultimatesupport.com/s.nl/it.A/id.743/.f?sc=14&category=40> and have the s1000 sat on the floor but pointing up at you by turning the stand around and having the long pole pointing at you. i use this stand for an alesis dm pro in a 2u flightcse live - when i'm playing my electronic drum kit the flight case is angled up at me so i can see it. neat solution. }:-) moose @ midizoo
