Jahn-Otto, If you look at http://www.akaipro.com/int/download/archive_os.html you see the latest available OS'es. However, I didn't know akai released a S1100HD ? Is it written on the front or did someone add a HD ? Anyway, I dont see why there should be a OS difference between 1100 and S1100HD.
