You can save the current running version. In the save
screen , scroll to "Type of save", use the date wheel to
scroll to the last "type" which should be the OS. Once you
save that it will save the contents of the current boot
roms.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
