Yes, you can boot a new OS which resides on a zip. --- floflood <floflood@...> wrote:

You can save the current running version. In the save screen , scroll to "Type of save", use the date wheel to scroll to the last "type" which should be the OS. Once you save that it will save the contents of the current boot roms. --- floflood <floflood@...> wrote:

Hi! What about burning the actual version into eproms and install them in the S1100? The last version can be taken from an Australian webpage - you just have to find someone that burns the eproms for you... Here is the link to the Australian page - you can find the eprom images on the bottom of this page: http://www.firstpr.com.au/rwi/smem/ Ciao Peter http://www.ullrich.at.tt ________________________________________ Von: akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com [akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com] im Auftrag von floflood [floflood@...] Gesendet: Donnerstag, 17. I want to upgrade to the latest akai system loading from a zip. That seems impossible without a floppy isn`t it ? ..thanks for any tips
