Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Thanks for the introduction. 

You know that you have to set the SCSI ID of your HD first?
Take a look in the manual (downloadable from this site) how to do it. 
If you have set the SCSI ID right and tested it, save the OS on a
floppy. This way your SCSI ID is always right when you boot up.

BTW: you do not have to format your drive. This is wrong indicated on
the menu. Format means low level format. You only need to 'arrange'
the HD.
