If you're not an electronics expert, it is worth asking help to prevent that you destroy your sampler. Open up the sampler on the back / left you find 2 small glass tubes with a small wire in it. These should conduct. You can test that with the resistance meter you find on most digital multimeters. If they dont conduct anymore - replace them with the same type (ampere and speed should be the same). Measure the voltage outputs of the power supply. If you still dont find 5 volt and 12 volt output your power supply board (on the left) is certainly broken and needs repair / replacement. --- In akaiS1000S1100Samplers@yahoogroups.com, "rumschruebler" <rumschruebler@...> wrote: > > hi everybody > I just received yesterday a S1100 for free, though it is not powering > up. > DOes anyone have a suggestion what I have to check, so I can bring this > baby back to live? > When I tra to switch it on, nothing is happening at all. no light or > anything.
